veni, vidi, vintage

Today was slightly chilly and overcast and so this vintage houndstooth sweater dress kept me warm and itchy (I'm assuming it's a wool blend). I'm usually not a fan of high collars because it leaves me feeling as if I'm being strangled, but this dress is so darn cute that I wear it anyway.

I got distracted by a poor, dead, fuzzy caterpillar that lay outside of the Frank Kimball Museum.

History kills.

wearing:
pork boy hat - urbanoutfitters
vintage houndstooth sweater dress - salvation army/thrifted
black opaque tights - navy exchange
brown penny loafers - urbanoutfitters
vintage brown purse - my mother's closet

Funny story about the dress ... I was carrying the houndstooth dress to the register at the Salvation Army when this old lady got a hold of it pulled on it (taking me with it), looked at the fabric and was trying to find the tag. I said "excuse me..." and I tugged back and quickly purchased it and left. Remember, thrift stores are battle grounds.
