Why Hello Kitty

I awoke and found that I had survived the previous day's festivities with nothing more than smeared eye makeup and four leaf clover impressions on my wrist, from my tacky, but cheap, luck of the Irish bracelet. Here's to hoping you found yourselves in similar high spirits. Pardon the pun for as my sketch comedy writing professor always reminded me "a pun is the lowest form of comedy," and yet I find myself vocalizing every pun my immature mind can come up with. What can I say, it doesn't take much to amuse me, which explains my regular bouts of maniacal laughter. Anyway...because I felt especially bubbly today I felt the need to take my 50th Anniversary Sanrio Dr. Martens for spin. To keep the spotlight on the Sanrio fest on my feet, I decided to keep it girly and preppy with my clothes.

Lastly, I can't help but share this picture I snapped at a pan de sal (Filipino rolls) bakery I was visiting to get my carb fix. This is a signed glove from the Pacquiao vs. Marquez fight back in 2007, and being a Pacman fan it's only natural I would geek out. However, what ended up being what I was most psyched about was that the glove was barely being displayed in this tiny bakery, hung on a bread rack, and covered in the same saran wrap that's used to cover the baked goods. :sighs: Pacman and bread, these are just a few of my favorite things ... (sung in the tune of the song from The Sound of Music).
